“The Nature of Oaks,” Douglas Tallamy, LBJ Wildflower Center

This Zoom event features Douglas Tallamy presenting “The Nature of Oaks,” which is also the title of his new book. Registration is $10 without a copy of the book or $50 with a copy of the book (includes shipping; a pick-up option is available). Tallamy will explain the centrality of these magnificent trees to their surrounding ecosystem and discuss how oaks support conservation of our own natural world. He will offer practical advice for planting and caring for oaks as well as identify the best species for this area. There are over 50 varieties of oak trees native to Texas, so options for planting abound. Tallamy also will discuss what we must do to nurture and protect oak trees. Registration is required, here.
