Two biologists with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD), Ernesto Garcia-Ortega and Wendy Anderson, will help webinar participants to learn some of the common Spanish names for the trees, plants and wildlife one is likely to encounter in Texas. As they state, “Prior knowledge of the Spanish language is great, but everyone is welcome as the course is designed to cater to all levels. By the end of the class, students will have gained a newfound confidence to use the names of flora and fauna in Spanish.” This webinar is FREE, but registration is required, here. Participants may also want to download a handy vocabulary sheet before the start of the webinar.
TMNTuesday webinars are offered by the TPWD Master Naturalist program on the second Tuesday of each month. Topics generally are announced about 1 to 2 weeks in advance of the webinar date. Each webinar is FREE but registration is required to participate.
