“Living Soil: The World Beneath Our Feet,” WilCo Ch., NPSOT (Zoom)

Jim Williams, a retired physician and Master Gardener, will explain that there’s more to dirt than meets the eye. Most of the living organisms of Earth reside in the soil and support the life that exists on the surface. This living community existed for millions of years before plants and animals appeared on land and provides the supporting structure for life on Earth. In this talk Mr. Williams will explore the structure of soil, the diverse life within it and how it works to benefit the environment. See the chapter’s Events page for full details on how to access the Zoom meeting.
