September Meeting: “Two Million Blossoms”

The September 3rd Highland Lakes Birding and Wildflower Society Zoom meeting featured a presentation by Dr. Kirsten S. Traynor, who is an international authority on honey bee health and the impacts of pesticides on these vital pollinators. She currently has a dual appointment as a research associate at Arizona State University and at the Free University in Berlin. She is the author of two books, Two Million Blossoms: Discovering the Medicinal Benefits of Honey and Simple, Smart Beekeeping. Her new quarterly magazine, Two Million Blossoms: Protecting Our Pollinators, aims to promote knowledge of pollinators found throughout the world, and thereby promote actions that sustain the existence of pollinators and improve our stewardship of the environment.
