Alaska Birding in June

Guest speaker Dr. Byron Stone will highlight some of the species and locations that make summer bird watching in Alaska a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. The Alaskan environment has unique bird species that attract attention from all around the world. Alaska also is home to bird species that are more familiar to central Texans, such as the Bald Eagle. However, the eagles are far more common along the Alaskan coastline than they are in the Highland Lakes.

PLEASE NOTE: This IN PERSON meeting will start at 10:00 a.m. in the AgriLife Extension Service building, 607 N. Vandeveer in Burnet. The general public is welcome to attend. Anyone who wishes to wear a mask to protect personal health may do so.
