Travis Audubon, “There’s an App for That: Observing Nature for Science with iNaturalist”

In this 4 and 1/2 hr. online class, Texas Nature Trackers Biologist Dr. Tania Homayoun will explain what TPWD’s Texas Nature Trackers program is and how the program uses data from iNaturalist to support its projects. Participants will receive step-by-step instruction on both basic and more advanced uses of iNaturalist to document observations. Time will be provided for hands-on outdoor practice in the field. Space is limited to 25 participants. Registration is required for the class and the cost is $20/non-member or $15/member. Participants will need to have downloaded WebEx software ahead of time to join the online class, and will need to have created an iNaturalist account in advance of the class. Full details and the link to register are available here.
