The Texas Pollinator BioBlitz is a citizen science project aimed at gathering as much data as possible about pollinators and the nectar-producing plants that they visit. Participation is just as easy as it is important! From October 6 through October 22, 2023, spend time outdoors and document your observations of pollinators - bees, butterflies, moths, bats, hummingbirds, beetles and more - and nectar-producing plants in iNaturalist. With over 30 native pollinator/flower-visiting species designated as “Species of Greatest Conservation Need,” these data will give scientists valuable insight into the statuses of Texas’ pollinator populations.
