Head to Doeskin Ranch for a hike on Black Friday! The morning begins with an easy hike along the 0.6 mile Creek Trail.  The trail leads through grasslands and runs along the north end of the creek. Those who are interested can continue to hike south along the creek, up the hill, circling the ridge along the Rim Rock Trail. It’s a total of 2.2 miles with lovely hill country views through old growth cedar and oak savanna. There will be two Master Naturalists leading the hikes this year. Note: Registration will be limited to 15 people and is required, here. The refuge follows the COVID-19 guidance of Travis County, which is at Stage 3 as of Nov. 13, 2021. In the event of cancellation due to weather or other circumstances, registrants will be notified by 7:00 on the morning of the hike. Please wear appropriate shoes, bring plenty of water, bug spray, and sunscreen.
