Anyone interested in birding can meet at Hornsby Bend’s Center for Environmental Research at 7:00 a.m. for the FREE morning bird survey [coffee and donuts at available at 6:30am]. Organizers create teams that match experienced and novice birders. The teams cover different areas of the Hornsby Bend facility and count numbers of all birds seen. Teams come back together at 11:00 a.m. to tally up the species observed. For more information contact Vincent O'Brien. This is a recurring event, held on the second Saturday of every month.
