“Monarchs & Marigolds,” Highland Lakes Ch., Texas Master Naturalists

Area Master Naturalists will lead a walk along the 1/4-mile trail at Gem of the Hills Activity Center in Blanco to learn about Monarch butterflies. The workshop will cover local migration patterns, how to protect the Monarchs’ natural habitat, and how to plant a butterfly garden. There also is a new bird-watching station on the trail. Please note: This event is part of the Texas Marigold Festival that is held in Blanco, so it is likely to be very well attended. At the time of this posting, no details about costs, registration, etc., were provided on the festival’s website.
