Invited speaker Deedy Wright will discuss invasive plant species at this meeting. She will define the term, “invasive plant,” and explain what makes a given plant species invasive. She will describe the ways in which invasive species are introduced into the environment and the damage such plants can do. Perhaps most important, she will offer suggestions about native plant species that serve as positive options for people to use when replacing invasive plants in the landscape. Please note that the presentation will be given immediately after a brief business meeting.
