Members of HLBWS plan to organize and set up a brilliant display of central Texas wildflowers in the meeting room of the Herman Brown Free Library. The quantity and quality of flowers will be heavily dependent upon at least three factors: 1) drought conditions, 2) damage that may have been done to area wildflowers from the anticipated throngs of people wishing to view the eclipse during the weekend before the show, and 3) the contributions of time and effort by HLBWS members in finding, picking, identifying and organizing the flowers. Please note that the exhibit is accessible to the public via the library’s side door, diagonally across from the coffee shop, about 1/2 block off of the courthouse square. The exhibit is FREE to the public and, in years past, has attracted visitors from all over the world. Plans are for the exhibit to be open from 2-5 p.m. on Friday afternoon and from 9-4 p.m. on Saturday.
