Stephen Garmon, who is the Park Interpreter and Volunteer Coordinator at Pedernales Falls State Park, will present “Habitat Restoration at Pedernales Falls State Park” to members and guests of the Highland Lakes Birding and Wildflower Society (HLBWS) on Thursday, March 2, at 10 a.m. He will discuss the seeming paradox of having to tear down hundreds of acres of forest for the purpose of restoring natural habitat.
Plans for the morning include an 8:00 a.m. bird walk at Haley Nelson Park and some social time at 9:30 a.m. at the AgriLife building. Our business meeting will commence at 10:00 a.m. and our invited speaker will begin to present at approximately 10:30 a.m.
