David Yeomans, chief meteorologist for Austin-based television station KXAN, will present “Forecasting Central Texas Weather in a Changing Climate,” to the Highland Lakes Birding and Wildflower Society (HLBWS) on November 3, 2022. The presentation will include scientific evidence of climate trends and their impacts in Central Texas, and what area residents can expect in the future.
The meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 909 Avenue D, Marble Falls. There will be an 8:00 a.m. bird walk at Johnson Park in Marble Falls. The meet-up spot will be on Johnson Street just north of the baseball field (the corner of Johnson Street & Pecan Valley Drive). The bird walk will be around an hour long and then the group will drive to the Trinity Episcopal Church for the meeting. Car pooling to the monthly meeting is advised because parking space is limited.
Social time will be provided at 9:30 a.m. The HLBWS business meeting starts at 10:00 a.m. and the invited speaker will begin to present at approximately 10:30 a.m.
