Guided Tour of Gardens at Inks Dam National Fish Hatchery

  • Inks Dam National Fish Hatchery 345 Clay Young Road Burnet, TX, 78611 United States (map)

Members of the Highland Lakes Chapters of the Native Plant Society of Texas and the Master Gardeners Association will lead a FREE, guided tour of the demonstration and pollinator gardens at the Inks Dam National Fish Hatchery. Come see how native species can be the basis of a beautiful, “country garden” landscape! Be sure to bring your cameras. While you are at the Fish Hatchery, you might also want to take the time to visit the bird blind, if that is not built into the tour already. With so many native plants blooming at this time of year, there will be plenty of hummingbird activity at the blind. From our own experience, the hummers have been known to fly into the blind to check out the visitors, up close and personal!
