This 2.1 mile hike will proceed up the steep new Quarry Canyon trail, then over to Vista Knoll and Cactus Rocks before descending on the Boulder trail. Participants are encouraged to wear appropriate shoes, bring plenty of water, bug spray, and sunscreen. Travis County is observing Stage 5 public health guidelines, which advise that 1) people wear masks in all social settings, even when gathering outdoors and 2) high risk individuals avoid gathering with people outside of their own households. Individuals are asked to use their own best judgment to decide whether to participate in this event. Participants will be notified by 7:00 a.m. on the day of the hike if the event is canceled for any reason.
