“Fall Gardening Tasks,” San Antonio Botanical Garden

  • San Antonio Botanical Garden 555 Funston Place San Antonio, TX, 78209 United States (map)

From the SABG website: “While the calendar says it’s fall, our temperatures often say it’s still summer. How do you determine when fall is actually happening in Texas? Fall gardening means different things to different gardeners. Join Anna Vogler and Lynn Cox, Bexar County Master Gardeners, as they share the various aspects of fall gardening. Topics will include tasks that prepare your landscapes for the winter, including maintenance needs, soil improvement, and fall planting. Timing and techniques for perennial plant division that is best done in the fall months will be included as well as a demonstration of the cleaning and sharpening of hand pruners. Master Gardeners will be available at the end of the workshop to answer your gardening questions. Sponsored by San Antonio Water System.” Space is limited.

Please note: Space is limited. The registration fee is $10/non-member or $8/member. Registration is required and the link can be accessed here. The registration deadline is by 10:00 a.m. on October 12, 2021.
