“Escaping Extinction: Delisting the Kirtland’s Warbler,” American Bird Conservancy

The American Bird Conservancy (ABC) is hosting a FREE online event in recognition of the 5-year anniversary of the Kirtland’s Warbler’s remarkable recovery and delisting from the Endangered Species Act. ABC’s description of the webinar says, “Once on the brink of extinction with just 167 singing males in 1987, this rare bird has made an incredible comeback thanks to decades of tireless conservation efforts. But how did the Kirtland’s Warbler recover? What’s next for this unique species? And what conservation work is still needed to keep its population thriving?” Registration is required to access the webinar, which features three experts: Dave Ewert, Giselle Dean and Steve Roels. All registrants will be able to access a recording of the webinar later on.
