Texas Parks and Wildlife, Texas Master Naturalists, the Audubon Society, the Nature Conservancy, and many other organizations support the City Nature Challenge: a contest to see which greater metropolitan area can document the most species during the 4-day window from April 30, 2021 to May 3, 2021. [Note: Check out this map to see if you live within the boundaries of the greater Austin area, for purposes of this challenge.] To participate, simply document your observations of plants and/or animals using the iNaturalist app during the specified time frame.
