“Bioregional Herbalism,” HLNPSOT

Following a 30-minute business meeting, the Highland Lakes chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas (HLNPSOT) will host invited speaker Amber Joy Herndon for a talk on Bioregional Herbalism. Ms. Herndon will give an overview of Herbalism's relevance in modern life, covering ways to make plant medicines, proper wildcrafting techniques, and the ethical principles upheld by Herbalists, when harvesting wild plants. She also will explore the medicinal potential of specific local plants and their practical uses.

Ms. Herndon is a small business owner and holds a Bachelors degree in Horticulture and Business. In addition to having studied Herbalism, she has experience with Beekeeping, Sustainable Agriculture, and Nature Therapies, recognizing their profound impact on mental and physical well-being.
