This meeting is being conducted both in person (in Houston) and online. The online meeting session will open at 6:40 p.m. and the guest speaker will begin her remarks at 7:00 p.m.
Erin Mills will introduce meeting attendees to the world of native pollinators. She will talk about each of the main groups of pollinators, discuss their biology and needs, and introduce participants to some fascinating members of each group. The presentation will end with some specific tips on how to foster healthy populations of these precious pollinators in the garden.
Erin Mills has a Bachelor of Science in entomology from Texas A&M University and is a Board Certified Entomologist. She is passionate about the vital role that insects play in maintaining a healthy ecosystem and encourages gardeners not only to tolerate them but to welcome and celebrate their presence.
