Bees at Home: The Natural History of Bumble Bee Nesting

Bumble bees are among the best-studied invertebrates, but relatively little is known about the ecology of nest founding by queens in spring, and more broadly, behaviors in the nest. One area that is ripe for investigation is how nesting biology impacts colony development and reproduction, and how a changing environment affects bumble bee nesting behavior. There will be time for questions and the presentation will include tips about how people can support bumble bees populations. The webinar will be recorded and Closed Captioning will be available.
