“Lights Out: Safer Skies for Migrating Birds,” North Texas Master Naturalists

  • Brookhaven College 3939 Valley View Lane Farmers Branch, TX, 75244 United States (map)

Please note: This event is offered both in person and online. Two speakers, Yvette Stewart and Tania Homayoun, will explain how artificial light at night creates serious issues for migrating birds and increases their risk of collisions with buildings and windows. The phenomenon is a significant cause of death to American native birds. Participants will learn about things they can do right now to decrease the risks for migrating birds. For information about how to access the online event, please visit the event posting on Facebook.
