“Basic and Advanced SKYWARN Training,” Austin/San Antonio Weather Forecast Office, NWS

The Austin/San Antonio Weather Forecast Office offers SKYWARN® training sessions to help prepare people for hazardous weather threats specific to South Central Texas. Participants will learn how to assist local forecasters with weather reports, which provide valuable data to inform decision making, during these critical weather events.

The training is FREE and open to the public, but seating is LIMITED and advanced registration is required, here. Vehicles must be registered, using the form here, to be able to park at St. Edward’s. Participants are welcome to bring their own beverages or to purchase them at the coffee shop in the Ragsdale Center; no refreshments are provided at the training.
