Make Your Yard Come Alive - Garden for Birds with Native Plants

Master Naturalist Jane Tillman will explain how to create a bird-friendly environment in a presentation, “Make Your Yard Come Alive - Garden for Birds with Native Plants,” during the December 1, 2022, HLBWS meeting. Topics include plant and tree selection, landscape design, and gardening practices that help make yards more attractive to birds..

Ms. Tillman has documented over 90 species of birds by using such practices at her home, which is a Best of Texas Backyard Wildlife Habitat.

The meeting will be held at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, 607 N. Vandeveer in Burnet, TX, on Thursday, December 1, 2022. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. The meeting starts at 10:00 a.m. Visitors are welcome.

There will be a pre-meeting bird walk at 8:00 a.m. at Haley Nelson Park, Hwy 29 in Burnet, weather permitting.
