May Meeting: “Texas Invasives: Identifying and Reporting Invasive Species in Texas”

Ashley Morgan-Olvera, Director of TISI at Sam Houston State University, will list some of the top invasive species in Texas and explain why Texans need to be concerned about such species. Participants will learn about how to recognize specific invasive species and how to report observational data about them in TexasInvasives.org. Researchers and policy makers use the data to inform decisions about how best to contain the spread of invasive species in Texas and, therefore, curtail potential damage caused by the invaders.
